By downloading or using DMV Prep ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

Not an official DMV product

DMV Prep is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any state Department of Motor Vehicles, the FMCSA, MSF, or any other government or licensing agency. State names and handbook citations are used solely to describe the study content's source material.

Study aid, not a guarantee

The App is designed to help you study for permit, CDL, and motorcycle written knowledge tests. Practicing with the App does not guarantee you will pass your official test. Questions are written to reflect the format and content of official state handbooks and federal manuals, but official tests may differ, and requirements can change. Always confirm current requirements with your state's DMV or licensing authority.

No professional or legal advice

Content in the App — including AI coach explanations — is for educational purposes only and is not legal, medical, or professional advice. Where a rule is ambiguous or not covered by the App's content, consult your official state handbook.

The AI coach

The App's AI coach (where available) generates explanations, examples, and self-check quizzes to support learning. Self-check quiz questions are practice generated by the coach for reinforcement — they are not official test questions and are separate from the App's official question bank.

Free to use

DMV Prep is free, with no subscriptions, paywalls, or in-app purchases required to access any feature.

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the App's content or question bank, and not to use the App in any way that violates applicable law.

"As is," no warranty

The App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Changes to the App or these terms

We may update the App or these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
